Yagoub Elryah is received his PhD in Economics from Xiamen University in 2015. Dr. Yagoub holds Master’s degree in Economics from Sudan Academy of Sciences SAS in 2007. He obtained his Bachelor of Economics Honors (Second Class, division one) from Faculty of Commerce and Social Studies, Alneelain University in 2003. He also works to Industrial Research and Consultancy Center (IRCC) since 2004, where he conducts research studies on macro and microeconomics issues in Sudan. He served as coordinator to Sudanese Partnership for Knowledge Transfer by Expatriate Nationals (SPaKTEN) between 2006 and 2007. He received several fellowships and scholarships awards.

Yagoub Elryah enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, and volunteering for several International organizations. His experience is in macroeconomic issues in Southeast Asian countries, specifically on financial development, Inflation, economic growth, Islamic banking, financial stability, employment, economic development, international trade, political economy and globalization. His research focuses on Middle East, Sudan, and Southeast Asian Nations. He currently concentrates on GCC and Southeast Asia areas to analyze the Islamic banking competitiveness.

Yagoub Elryah has published many research papers on Islamic banking in Malaysia, economic development and macroeconomic issues that have been faced Sudan’s economy. His peer-reviewed papers on FDI, TWO issues, and banking sector to the Issues in Business Management and Economics Journal, Sciences and Education Publishing, Science Publishing Group, Asian Journal for Economics and Business Studies (AJEBS) and International Journal of Social Sciences and Management. His publications include IOSR Journal of Economics and Finance (IOSR-JEF), International Journal of Social Science and Humanities Research, Journal of Economics and Finance, International Journal of Contemporary Economics and Administrative Sciences (IJCAS), The Multi-Disciplinary Edu Global Quest (MDEGQ), Journal of Economics and International Business Research (JEIBR), Pro journal Organization, International Journal of Trade, Economics and Finance (IJTEF) Journal of Behavioral Economics, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Accounting and Transport and International Journal of Social Sciences and Management” (IJSSM).



    Yagoub Elryah plans to continue his academic career. In the future he is going to offer new courses related to his research interests, publish articles on international economics, and becomes a research scientist in the research organizations such as academic and corporate research & development and pursue the challenging tasks of application driven basic issues in economic growth, poverty, inequality and economic development and propose an innovative idea for its practical relevance.



Research and presentation skill on rural and economic development issues including writing proposal, survey set-up, data management and writing, Desktop management with MS office, econometric software skills (SPSS, Eviews), Interpersonal communication, networking, liaison and leadership skills.
